The Studio

I'm a Metro Detroit-based artist specializing in acrylic painting (including custom pet portraits), digital art, and watercolor.

I attended College for Creative Studies for a semester in 2002 and am otherwise self-taught. I'm passionate about continuously improving my technique and learning new things. I love digital art, watercolor, acrylic paints, and other forms of art.

I started my venture into digital artwork doing invitation designs under the name Kukaluka Designs, and then changed my focus to digital art instead of design. I started painting with the Kindness Rocks project. After doing that for a year or so, I started teaching painting classes - first on rocks, then on canvases - and did so for many years.

On a personal note, I am the proud mom to my adult daughter, teenage son, and my senior fur baby, Lexi.
